Amino Acid Formula

We received great news in the form of a letter from our insurance company! Stanton's special formula has been approved and will be covered! He drinks an amino acid based formula called Elecare. It is quite expensive and has definately changed our household budget. So - today we are super excited!

We were lucky enough to have Early Intervention in California cover it. Our insurance denied us!! boo!
Aren't Vanilla Elecare stains just the best? I should send you a couple pictures of our carpet...you can have a carpet stain gallery!!

Working with insurance companies is a full-time job! Thankfully my husband is in human resources and knows the system pretty well. Please do send some carpet pics! What a fun idea to share our stains together in a gallery.

Maybe More Than You Want to Know

I'm a thirty-something mom, married to my high school sweetheart. We meet in good 'ol 1989 and married in 1996 John is the most real, easy going, loyal guy you'll ever meet! I can't imagine doing any of this without him.

We have a sweet, 4 year old little guy, Stanton. We are on a search to get a firm diagnosis for him, but he suffers terribly from severe GERD (aka REFLUX, Gastroparesis and Asthma. Our days are full of breathing treatments, therapy appointments, medications, medical formula, and vomit. I mean swimming pool full of vomit days. You know - the don't place value on any physical possession in his path kind of vomit. Our team at Cincinnati Children's Hospital really wants to see if through diet changes we can minimize the vomit. So Stanton drinks a special amino acid formula, and so far, isn't interested in eating food. Who can blame him? His past expereinces have been quite traumatic.

Being covered in bodily fluids all day and lots of nights has really changed our lives! You think?!?!?!?! Yes, stress and feeling frazzled are just part of our unpredictable days. I am blooging as an outlet - to vent and reflect. So, once Stanton turned 2, I had this great urge to share, cry, laugh and encourage other moms living in the trenches of chronic worry, unresolved health-issues, sleep deprivation, and vomit all while carrying a child on one hip and roll of paper towels on the other.
